A new development in the city of Nottingham could bring a bright future for team building corporate events on a grandiose scale should it be approved, it has been reported.
Gamston will play host to a 45,000-seater stadium in the east Midlands which could get the go ahead should the England World Cup bid for the year 2018 be approved.
Mark Arthur, the chief executive of Nottingham Forest, hopes the city - which makes up the seventh-largest urban area in the country - will accept the bid as the City Ground is unable to match the expectations of a fully-compliant FIFA stadium as set down by the football governing body.
Hugh White, the director of sport, leisure and parks for Nottingham City Council and the World Cup bid co-ordinator, said: "We're looking forward to showing the bid officials around again as we feel we've got a great deal to shout about and an exciting bid which demonstrates our ability to stage major events."
The existing City Ground has a capacity of 30,602 and has been the home of Nottingham Forest since 1898, with the stadium situated on the banks of the River Trent.
