A new study has revealed that the best way a company can expect to do well in the current climate is to keep motivating employees in order to keep their engagement consistent.
In a release by the Incentive Marketing Assocation's Recognition Council, it was understood that the best way to relieve stress in the workplace is through a reward and recognition programme.
According to Karen Renk, the executive director of the organisation, this strategy can not only enhance competitiveness of a company in the market but also brings about a greater return on investment and improves customer satisfaction and employee loyalty.
She continued: "Today's buyouts, bailouts and bankruptcies have undermined the workforce stability already shaken by changing demographics, making employee engagement a critical factor not only for success but also for a company's very survival."
This report has largely echoed comments made by Charlotte Gallagher of P3 People Management, who told the Manchester Evening News that businesses need to implement a recognition scheme to keep workers at the top of their game.
