Websites 'should be used alongside live brand experience'

Date: 24/02/2010

Businesses considering the highly-lucrative possibilities of live brand experiences must support them throughout the company, most importantly with websites, it has been asserted.

Sam Saltis of bwired said that major advances in website technology and content have allowed organisations to take control of their brand much more effectively and is a godsend for many marketing departments.

However, it was mooted that success online is largely dependent on a well-worked and strategic approach to this form of media and ought to tie in with any public schemes such as live brand experiences.

"A positive user experience equals a positive brand experience - and I don't need to tell you how valuable that is," Mr Saltis continued. "An engaging, interactive, intuitive user interface that helps your visitors achieve their end goal (information/purchase) will hit the sweet spot."

New Media Age revealed that through the use of direct marketing, advertising and use of digital and social media channels, Microsoft will be promoting Xbox Live in the coming months.
