V Festival 'the best for corporate clients'
Date: 26/05/2010
V Festival is the biggest and best festival to treat corporate clients to a taste of mud and music, according to the readers of Eventmagazine.co.uk.
It may seem an unusual venue for a corporate event, but the festival hosted in Chelmsford and Stafford is highly regarded as being brand-friendly, the website revealed.
"The 'Louder Lounge' hosted by Virgin Media has become a byword for VIP excellence," said Eventmagazine.co.uk.
Meanwhile, voters placed Hyde Park-based Hard Rock Calling, which began in 2006 with just two stages, at number two and the long-running Glastonbury Festival in third position.
Family-oriented events like Camp Bestival and the Big Chill were markedly less popular, appearing at the bottom of the list, suggesting that these are not the best places to take corporate clients.
First launched in 1996, this year's V Festival has the Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, Cheryl Cole and the Pet Shop Boys tipped to top the bill.
