Uniforms 'central' to live brand experience

Date: 19/11/2009

When carrying out a live brand experience, a business must consider what their workers or representatives will be wearing while they are promoting wares, it is emphasised.

Clothes2Order explained that many businesses underestimate the impact that uniforms can have in the workplace and beyond, noting that they can encapsulate so much about a personality of a company as well as values and a level of workforce investment.

Michael Conway, the founder and managing director of the organisation, explained that above all, uniforms often become synonymous with certain brands which utilise them.

He continued: "Think of Easyjet or Virgin and you immediately associate the company with the orange and red uniforms.

"Think about brand values and the messages you want to convey to the outside world and develop a uniform around these, with colours and styles to reflect the personality of the company."

In other uniform news, this week saw the proposition of an all-Wales school uniform after an influential think-tank said it would make it easier for Wales' poorest families to send their children to school.
