Team building corporate events are 'great'

Date: 27/07/2009

By organising team building corporate events in the coming weeks and months, organisations have a better chance at fighting the effects of the current economic downturn, it is said.

The Press and Journal spoke to Kevin Riley, the director of Carlton Resource Solutions, who explained that a number of things should be implemented during the next few months in order to stem the tide of problems brought about by the recession.

He asserted: "A trip to the park with well-thought out activities can be used to help form a basis for co-operation in a recently-formed team, as well as help to build the skills of an existing team."

Mr Riley said that by simply getting away from the office environment can "clear everyone's head and result in a more focused team".

Earlier this month, Eastleigh Borough Council announced that it would be expanding the facilities the Rose Bowl offers to those wanting to organise team building conferences in the future, injecting £20 million into the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club.
