A team building conference could be just the way to save thousands of pounds a year in lost hours through absenteeism, according to a new report.
Businesses across Northern Ireland are participating in the Employer of Choice scheme, which is encouraging improved staff morale and lower levels of illness through an investment in communication across all levels of the company, allowing for suggestions and comments on work/life balance.
Martin Magennis of Time Associates, which works with such a programme in Northern Ireland, said it has taken on a momentum of its own since organisations have seen the benefit of it.
He continued: "This is not a talking shop. It is a practical way to find out what your employees need and how to implement a culture of change to improve your organisation."
Earlier this month, the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills revealed on Bytestart that increased investment in training, communication and motivation is leaving to more staff loyalty across UK companies.
