Team building conferences: Drumming is 'accessible to all'

A new kind of team building corporate event is enjoying success in Canada, it has been revealed, as people discover the stress-relieving benefits of drumming.

Local businesses in the Cornwall area of the country have been going to interactive meetings once a month to connect with other firms and listen to guest speakers, the Cornwall Seaway News reports.

The last instance saw Jody Marsolais of the Rhythm Room host a drumming workshop - one of the "most powerful forms of team building", he told the newspaper, suggesting that the practice has been used to bond groups for thousands of years.

Drumming is the ideal team building corporate event, he went on to say, as it is a far less personal experience than other forms of music like singing and can be accessed by all kinds of different people.

In other team building news, it was recently reported by cei.asia that Roche China, a major healthcare company, has held a team building conference for 550 people at the Hilton Tokyo and Hyatt Regency Tokyo.
