Team building events will only be a success if the managers behind them are visionaries.
Businesses need to be forward thinking if they are to boost employee engagement and hold successful corporate team building events, it has been claimed.
According to Bill Morrow, chief executive officer of CSIdentity, establishing an effective management team is the best way to boost leadership and motivation - especially in small businesses - but this often requires making adjustments to business strategy at the drop of a hat.
Mr Morrow claimed that a swift response to a new challenge was particularly important during economic uncertainty.
"Even with an experienced team and good data, significant issues can still kill a company if they irreparably damage team spirit," Mr Morrow told abjentrepreneur.com.
He added: "Given that all start-ups encounter significant issues on their way to success, working to build cohesiveness and balance is vital."
Recently, Harvard Business Review claimed that energy and vision is a vital trait for managers who want to improve leadership and motivation in the workplace, and boost employee engagement in the process.
