Although training a company through corporate events and team building may seem expensive to many, ignorance will cost a business more, according to an industry expert.
NokusaEI, a South African firm which specialises in content management, said that many plans originally set down by businesses are being scrapped due to the financial pressures of the current climate, with the dropping of parties and project not being wise, the firm states.
It said that by giving the staff incentives through training, morale would increase, job satisfaction would improve and employees would gain a great sense of confidence and purpose.
The company concluded: "When things turn around, as they always do, you will be in a more advantageous position to deal with the new challenges and have a much better competitive position in the marketplace."
It has been widely reported that business confidence around the globe is hitting record lows, with Australia being the most recent country to admit the problems hitting them after the National Australia Bank announced its recent business survey.
