A law specialist has highlighted the benefits of team building and the reward and recognition such an exercise can bring.
Ed Poll, writing for ILW, stated that while "all for one and one for all" may be an outdated view in the eyes of many, there is still a large amount of benefits to be gained from holding a team building event, developing the skills and outcomes of workers.
He explained that "multiple minds are frequently better than one".
Mr Poll continued: "The intellectual interaction between lawyers working on a matter, especially a contested matter, can provide the fuel for very creative strategies that might not otherwise come up."
He added that one of the most obvious outcomes is that a team-led environment is much more likely to produce a greater income for the company and, in effect, the workers themselves.
Susan M Heathfield, an employment expert at About.com, stated that context is everything in team building, emphasising that workers must know exactly why they've been chosen to participate in a team.
