A focus on talent acquisition and employee morale should be maintained in the coming months if a business is going to head in the right direction, according to an expert in motivation.
Jeremy Eskenazi of ERE.net explained that organisations need to think outside of the box when trying to approach the notion of motivation, given that budgets have been cut and the same options are simply not available compared to two years ago.
In an interview with Ginny Eagle of T-Mobile, this situation was substantiated. Both she and the company had to go an alternative route when improving morale, notably in the way that it used team building conferences to bond with one another.
She continued: "We took a very personal approach to help the team feel a sense of community. Recruiters are very social and this is important to them. I spent a lot of time walking the floor and chatting with people."
Globally, T-Mobile has over 150 million subscribers and has its most major shares in the UK, German, Dutch and Austrian mobile phone markets.
