If a company is to enhance the morale of the workplace, it needs to cut down on the stress levels of its employees, an expert has explained.
The current economic quagmire that has engulfed finances on a global scale has made people work with more caution on a day-to-day basis whether their concerns are well-reasoned or not, argues HR Zone.
As a result, it stated that bosses ought to communicate more openly and create more of a team building vibe in the office, motivating employees and dragging them away from the mentality of an upcoming 'Night of the Long Knives' where sackings may take place.
Additionally, HR Zone said that front-line staff need to be given workshops and seminars on a regular basis to cement their skills and remove any niggles or undue stress from their comfortable working environment.
In order for people to be properly motivated, leaders must also show strength and competence in their task of raising morale, according to Kent State University professor emeritus Robert D Smith, making his comments to the Akron Beacon Journal.
