Sony to create summer-long live brand experience

Date: 04/06/2010

Entertainment giant Sony is set to create a music-themed live brand experience that will last the whole of the summer.

The new campaign will be used to promote the company's PlayStation Sing Star series of games.

Sony will create and operate a Cocktails and Dreams venue at this year's Glastonbury Festival, Camp Bestival and Bestival.

Belinda Carlisle and Vanilla Ice will both perform at the roving live brand experience venue.

The firm is also planning homepage takeovers on music websites Spotify, We7 and Last FM.

Sony marketing director Alan Duncan said: "The game is a social experience and the idea of the campaign is to show how that experience can happen. It's adding a new level of energy to the franchise."

Panasonic is another entertainment giant using live brand experiences to promote its products - in particular its 3DTV technology.

The company will bring a 3D Cinema to 33 locations around the UK over the course of 2010.ADNFCR-2060-ID-19819356-ADNFCR
