Solgar Vitamins recruits Sir Geoff Hurst

Sir Geoff Hurst has been signed up by Solgar Vitamins to lead a live brand experience campaign.
The outdoor marketing drive will be used to promote the firm's new joint-pain product Celadrin.
It is aimed at the baby-boomer generation as well as "younger fitness enthusiasts who wish to protect their joints for the future".
Solgar Vitamins will also be running a competition which will give one lucky person the chance to be the former World Cup star's guest at an England home game next year.
Speaking to Brand Republic, Lesley Constable, sales and marketing manager at Solgar Vitamins, said:"We are really excited about this campaign and the chance to have Sir Geoff Hurst on board supporting this is fantastic.
"He complements our target audience perfectly."
According to marketing industry expert Peter Blackwell, live brand experiences can reduce a company's dependence on traditional forms of advertising.
Speaking to Marketing Magazine, Blackwell said good customer engagement makes many forms of marketing unnecessary.
