Following years of planning and building, the Rose Bowl is finally open to events organisers following a successful corporate conference to kick things off.
The facility, which is owned by Leeds Metropolitan University and situated close to the centre of Yorkshire's biggest city, unlocked the doors for the first time to host a James Bond-themed gala dinner for the British Universities Finance Directors Group (BUFDG).
Owned by Well Met Conferencing, facility managers hope to attract local and national companies hosting team building programmes or corporate hospitality events.
Commenting on the successful opening, business development manager Kate Pitcher said: "The numbers of event bookings for the future are flowing in. The BUFDG conference was our first real test and it proved to be a huge success with lots of positive feedback."
Events organisers will be able to apply for the Rose Bowl from May 8th.
Earlier this month, Leeds United's Elland Road Stadium was given the prestigious AIM entry level award for its conference facilities, making it the second host in the city to win prestige from the organisation.
