QEIICC to host World Cup bid event
Date: 14/12/2009
The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) has been selected to host the final stage of the city selection issue for the England 2018 FIFA World Cup bid this week.
No fewer than 15 English cities have applied to host matches in the so-called Bid Book, CIT Magazine revealed, from flagship cities such as Manchester to clubs with big stadiums yet non-Premiership sides, including Nottingham and Leeds.
Each of the 15 cities will give live brand experiences on the suitability of their location for the event, including training venues, base camps, accommodation, transport and stadia.
A press conference at the QEIICC on Wednesday will announce the successful English cities and lead to a team building conference as to how each city can learn from one another and go forward as one to the final selection process in 2012.
The QEIICC is one of the leading locations for team building corporate events in London, situated near to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye.
