QEIICC could become 'main conference centre for London'

Date: 27/10/2009

Companies involved in organising team building conferences through a corporate events management company could see the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) rise in popularity in the near future.

That is because the building is hoping to be named as London's second, more centrally-located, conference centre, after ExCeL London was commented on by city mayor Boris Johnson as the capital's main venue.

Ernest Vincent, the chief executive of the QEIICC, still believes the centre has a lot to offer the country's budding attendees and delegates, stating that "everything is possible in the course of time" for the centre.

He continued: "Compared to other conference centres, the QEIICC is hugely successful. It's performing extremely well because of its location and I've been given instructions to take bookings up to 2013 and beyond."

The main room at the QEIICC can support up to 1,300 people, with over 2,000 sq m of exhibition space on one floor alone, should anyone want to host a live brand experience.
