Businesses may be more inclined to look to an events organiser for staff after a recent survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) revealed that nearly all of respondents value it highly.
A huge majority - 98 per cent of those interviewed - highlighted the importance of strong coaches and mentors in the personal development of a career, with such things as team building events looked upon favourably.
The report continued: "Globally, training and development is the most highly valued benefit for millennials in the first five years of their career with one third of respondents electing this as their first choice benefit (aside from salary)."
Partner and global head of human resources at PwC Michael Rendell said that the development of a team of employees was always important and that cutting training budgets is not right in the current economic climate as the overall rewards of investment are too great.
The foundations for PwC were laid in 1849 by Samuel Lowell Price, before finally amalgamating in 1998.
