The property sector in the UK is suffering from a marked drop in morale, it has been claimed.
According to a new survey by property recruitment specialist Judd Farris, the economic downturn and raft of recent redundancies has left the sector reeling.
The firm claims that 48 per cent of property professionals are looking to change roles as a result of low employee motivation and a lack of reward and recognition incentives, reports Property Wire.
Judd Farris also showed that two thirds of respondents said a lack of clear career progression would reduce their morale in the workplace.
One of the other major concerns was the introduction of sales incentive programmes that are not tied to workers' base salary.
Some 64 per cent of those questioned said that while they qualified for a bonus, it was at the discretion of their employer to give it to them.
Lisa Learoyd, managing director at Judd Farris, told the news provider: "Employers should seek to show their best talent that their career and financial goals are high on the agenda."
Recent research by Ranstad showed that many employers are unaware of what motivates their staff.
