Pepsi joins forces with Microsoft for brand experience

PepsiCo International has announced that it has partnered with Microsoft to deliver an integrated digital advertising campaign to celebrate this summer's major football tournament.

Addressing no fewer than 14 markets across the world such as Europe, the Middle East and South America, the campaign aims to drive brand engagement for PepsiCo as the leading sponsor for this year's FIFA World Cup in South Africa, harnessing a brand entertainment experience online through MSN.

PepsiCo has access to exclusive content from leading international footballers including Lionel Messi, Didier Drogba, Thierry Henry, Kaka, Frank Lampard, Andrei Arshavin and Michael Ballack.

Akon's charity single Oh Africa will also accompany much of the brand experience's materials, while a wide range of live brand experience events will be held in and around the World Cup's various stages.

Pepsi has recent completed its rebranding, which was rolled out in the US and Americas in 2008 - long before it was fully-realised in the UK earlier this year.
