By moving any major plans for the likes of reward and recognition strategies or corporate events, a business could stand to save money and resources, according to a business adviser.
Business Link's John Grange explained that companies in the current economic climate are shifting their priorities to focus on the very basics of their trade and service, highlighting the importance of events organisers in such situations.
He continued: "Focus on what you are good at, understand what you must do and need to do but don't be afraid of engaging with outsourced outside individuals and consultants in order to deliver what you need for your business."
Mr Grange added that anyone aiming to do such things in-house can create a distraction which could re-allocate resources disproportionately.
Business Link promotes itself as a non-political organisation which is dedicated to helping both new and older companies "innovate, improve, grow and become more competitive".
