Outdoor teambuilding good for staff

Date: 02/06/2010

Outdoor teambuilding is an excellent motivator for staff, it has been claimed.

According to the Express & Star, there are a huge number of outdoor corporate events available and an increasing number of firms are committed to taking teams out of the workplace as they attempt to boost morale and improve training programmes.

The news provider claims that the results of such teambuilding exercises are impressive and can result in increased efficiency and productivity.

It added that using a corporate event management firm can take the hassle out of organising such an event.

"For managers, observing their team members during these exercises can be very fruitful," the paper states.

"Reactions to challenges and interactions with workmates outside the normal working environment will tell a lot about each individual’s strengths and weaknesses," it added.

The website concluded: "When it comes to getting the best out of your workforce, nothing beats the excitement of outdoor team building."

According to new research from Aviva, team building activities are important to almost half of all UK firms.ADNFCR-2060-ID-19813892-ADNFCR
