Outdoor team building activities need appropriate insurance

Date: 06/07/2010

Firms considering putting on outdoor events or hosting corporate team building activities need to ensure they have appropriate insurance, it has been claimed.

According to tsnn.co.uk, organising an outdoor event - regardless of its size - will involve a number of unpredictable risks.

The events industry expert claimed that things that can go wrong often do, so being prepared is vitally important.

"Always organise several months before the event and make a short written assessment of the event," the website said.

"Give yourself some extra time to carry out the risk assessments and also get specialist advice where necessary," it added.

According to tsnn.co.uk, because many businesses run corporate events on a regular basis, appropriate insurance is something that should always be a consideration.

Recently, the Express & Star claimed that outdoor team building activities are an excellent motivator for staff as they can easily boost morale and provide participants with transferable skills.
