Events organisers looking into motivating employees through a domestic conference may want to head to Nottingham and the East Midlands.
The recommendation follows a campaign led by Nottingham Conferences which hopes to highlight the benefits of having a get together or team building exercise in the region, with major hotels and venues throughout the city joining forces to show the strengths of the area for visiting companies.
Kirstie Danzey, the marketing manager for the group, said that the city and surrounding places provide a wealth of landmarks which bring thousands of visitors to the area each year.
She continued: "Nottingham has a great location within the UK, easily accessible by plane, train and car, we also have friendly and welcoming people that provide great service to our visitors - a real plus for visitors coming on business."
Nottingham city council says the city is the centre for intellectual genius and a rich history, fostering such people as Lord Byron and Paul Smith as well as "the world's best-loved outlaw", Robin Hood.
