A new scheme could improve employee motivation by giving staff the chance to improve their skills.
Vinci Construction UK, which offers expertise in building, civil engineering, air services and technology, is encouraging employees to reach their potential by working towards the Duke of Edinburgh's Business Gold award.
The scheme, 'Stand Out, Make a Difference', will boost staff morale by helping them develop skills, attitude and character to reach their full potential.
Vinci Construction will be working in partnership with the Duke of Edinburgh Award, The Prince's Trust and Construction Youth Trust. The firm already offers a number of opportunities for young people to join, through graduate schemes, sponsorships, traineeships and apprenticeships.
Colin Jellicoe, HR director at Vinci Construction UK, said: "Partnering with the three charities will create unique learning and development opportunities, providing Vinci Construction UK's people with valuable experience of leadership, team working and contributing to the community."
Working within local communities will create chances for young people to enter the construction industry, something which prompted Peter Westgarth, chief executive officer at the Duke of Edinburgh Award, to describe the scheme as "mutually beneficial".
