Businesses looking to hire an events organiser for a corporate get-together may want to consider one of London's prime attractions, the Natural History Museum, after it announced phase two of its new expansion.
The world-famous building is to enter phase two of the £78 million Darwin Centre development, which as a venue will boast up to 16,000 square metres of floor space.
Director of the Natural History Museum Dr Michael Dixon said that there is no other museum in the world that is able to bring the public and scientists together on such a scale, adding that the green initiative which is part of the build aims to highlight nature's delicate balance.
He continued: "The Darwin Centre will I hope inspire people to think about the natural environment differently and in turn inspire them to take better care of our planet."
The Natural History Museum opened in its current capacity on Easter Monday 1881 and was based on an original sketch plan by Richard Owen in January 1859.
