The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA) has announced the winners of its UK Business Superbrand survey for conference centres across the UK, a list which may be handy for businesses organising corporate events.
In its quest to find this information, the TCBA explained its selection process: "A business superbrand has established the finest reputation in its field. It offers customers significant emotional and/or tangible advantages over its competitors, which customers want and recognise."
The National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham came out on top, closely followed by ExCeL London and the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in the heart of Westminster.
Harrogate's International Centre, Birmingham's International Convention Centre and the Wales Millennium Centre finished the top six list.
Other brands which were assessed included business hotels, with the Hilton, Marriott and Sheraton brands taking the top three in the superbrand survey.
At the beginning of the month, York's Marriott Hotel informed the York Press that a £500,000 investment in its conference facilities and other amenities would be complete in April, providing an option for businesses hiring an events organiser.
