Companies taking part in a multiple firm corporate event or carrying out a live brand experience will be more successful if music is played, according to a new survey.
MusicWorks, a business tool aimed at informing organisations of the benefits of playing music, said exhibitions can stand to increase footfall by 87 per cent through the playing of certain tunes.
The survey is the first of its kind in the UK, with the questionnaire finding that 73 per cent of people see music as an important factor in creating an atmosphere at a live brand experience.
Commenting on the findings, a MusicWorks spokesperson said: "Traditionally, music has been a key element of retail environments, such as high street shops, which spend considerable time and money ensuring that the right music is played.
"Event organisers could conceive similar benefits where appropriate."
MusicWorks also recently found that 23 per cent of people believe they would pay up to five per cent more for goods should music be played.
