Business performance improvement group MotivAction has won a well-regarded award for its dedicated work in the local community, it has been announced.
The Hertfordshire Business Awards gave the organisation the Business in the Community Award and also ended up in the final of Company of the Year, highlighting MotivAction's embracing of green initiatives and the use of students as a valuable employment resource.
It was also applauded for its aim to become carbon negative, wherein the company gives back electricity to the national grid, with a local development next to its base in Ardeley's Church Farm being a particular example of this sustainability in action.
Working in a close bond with partners Climate Care, MotivAction also plans to reduce the carbon footprint of the organisation.
The company said: "MotivAction's commitment to the future is to always provide high quality and value for money events, operated in a responsible and ethical way."
Climate Care is part of the JPMorgan Environmental Markets group and has dedicated experts in the field of carbon offsets based in London, Oxford, New York, Sydney and a number of other locations.
