Microsoft recognised for employee recognition efforts

Date: 17/06/2009

Microsoft has been named the Best Large Workplace in Europe 2009 by the Great Place to Work Institute.

The award recognises the computer firm's efforts in motivating employees through investing in working environments, practices, benefits and recognition schemes.

"People are at the heart of business, and a highly skilled, motivated and passionate team is critical for success," commented Jean-Philippe Courtois, president of Microsoft International.

"Investing in people and creating a work environment that utilises the latest technology has enabled staff to transform the way they work and interact with colleagues, delivering a strong work-life balance and a highly motivated and empowered team," he added.

The Great Place to Work Institute suggests that firms consider the relationships between employees and management, their jobs and colleagues, which will help them reduce turnover, improve customer satisfaction and give greater profitability.ADNFCR-2060-ID-19186555-ADNFCR
