Marketing conference showcases power of live brand experiences
Date: 25/02/2010
Technology for Marketing & Advertising (TFM&A) 2010, the UK's only marketing and advertising event, took place at Earls Court 2 in London this week, with a heavy focus on brand management.
Organisers of the get-together provided over 70 case study-led seminar sessions to visitors as part of their free education programme at this year's event, giving industry insights into such things as the developments in technology and the importance of social media.
However, one massive part of the big event was how important brand management was and how it differs from advertising in the way it approaches the client or potential customer, as well as how the likes of live brand experiences can be integrated into a bigger marketing strategy.
Lisa Wand, an events manager at the Chartered Institute of Marketing who attended and spoke at TFM&A 2010, said that her organisation has a very wide range of training courses and wanted to demonstrate the importance of them.
She added: "We've worked with the organisers to put together a whole days worth of taster training courses on all of our digital marketing elements."
