London Aquarium is 'impressive conference location' on relaunch

Date: 15/04/2009

The long-awaited return of the London Aquarium to the corporate events scene has been successful already, with two groups booking the location for future get-togethers, it has been reported.

A law firm and technology organisation the Computer Software Company have already booked in for later in the year with events organisers, with the location seen as a great place with good travel links and a strong location on the River Thames, Event Magazine revealed.

The aquarium attracted popularity through its interactive launch party which also wowed guests so much that another corporate event was booked at its sister venue, Madame Tussauds, which is found further west on Baker Street.

Madame Tussauds is to host 500 people at its location, with Michael Aldridge, the events general manager for the group, telling the magazine: "We expect at least another ten confirmations over the coming week on the back of Tuesday night's event."

Last week, it was revealed by the Blackpool Gazette that the seaside town's council is making moves to secure certain major locations - such as a Grade II-listed cinema - to turn the area into one perfect for corporate events.
