Live event experiences to be commended at awards ceremony

The first UK Event Awards ceremony is fast approaching and the brands to be shortlisted have been revealed.
According to the event's organisers, live brand experiences are becoming a more integral part of modern marketing strategies and the events industry plays a huge part in reaching out to a firm's target audience.
Events companies, promoters, venues, brands and industry suppliers will all be competing for recognition at the new awards ceremony, which will take place on October 28th in Manchester, whether they specialise in launching products, creating unique live brand experiences or hosting corporate conferences.
Chairman of the judges Simon Hughes said: "Recognising and sharing outstanding examples of live event activity is an integral part of promoting the creativity and expertise that the UK events industry brings to the complex marketing communications world we now live in.
"There is nothing better than live and these awards are a great way of promoting that fact."
Brands vying for recognition include Vauxhall Astra, Phones4U, Sainsbury's, Santander and O2 - among others.
Entry fees for the competition are £145 plus VAT for a company's first entry and £75 plus VAT for every subsequent entry.
