RSA, formerly Royal and Sun Alliance, is planning a series of live brand communications and other advertising campaigns to celebrate 300 years in the business.
The group, which rebranded in 2008, aims to raise awareness of some of the historical figures that have used its services - including explorer Captain Cook and biologist Charles Darwin, marketingmagazine.co.uk reports.
Customers have been encouraged to visit a dedicated microsite where they can learn more about the history of the group, as well as its work in recent crises like the 2009 earthquake in Italy.
A number of other tactics, including outdoor brand experience events such as RSA Day on June 25th, have been planned over the summer and brewer Shepherd Neame is creating a special-edition beer to mark the occasion.
RSA also recently launched its Making Partner initiative in London, which aims to develop the next generation of brokers with the skills they will need to reach senior management positions.
