A new live brand experience has been created by Nestle in the form of a profiling system to discover the consumer's chocolate profile, which can then be shared through social media sites.
The Maison Caillier process involves filling in a questionnaire about five chocolates which are sent to the customer as a sample.
Chocolates are then handpicked in order to meet their tastes and sent off to them within 48 hours in the customer's own personal box.
Personalising the packaging around chocolates has been possible for a while with companies offering the chance to add a photo or a message, but personalising the actual chocolates themselves is a relatively new idea.
Cédric Lacroix, director of Nestlé’s Chocolate Centre of Excellence in Broc, said: "Maison Cailler is the ‘haute couture’ of chocolate. It is the definition of luxury, inspired by the local Gruyère region and the quality of the ingredients you find here."
