Leeds United wins more praise for facilities

Events organisers should have no problem in dealing with the team at Leeds United's Elland Road ground after the club was given another award for its corporate events.

The Yorkshire Business Tourism Awards for 2009 were held last week and the team at the facility was given the top honours for its professionalism in dealing with clients.

Judges said of the winners: "The team at Leeds United has been praised for being both efficient and professional and for its excellent communication skills, which led to the venue winning 100 new conference accounts last year."

Helen Briden, the manager of the Leodensian group, said the honour was tremendous for the organisation, which was also on the shortlist for the best venue of the year.

However, that award went to Sheffield City Hall, which impressed judges due to its ability to host events for over 350 people as well as its "storm" into the market, increasing revenue by 90 per cent since 2007.
