With the help of a few team building conferences, a number of parameters can be established for a business to follow in order to get the most out of its employees, it is believed.
Adrian Gaskell, the content and communities manager at the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), explained that maintaining morale and employee motivation is tied to the health of workers, and this must always be played to, meaning that communication is key to finding out what is necessary.
He continued: "Where possible, provide opportunities for flexible working to help employees balance their work and home lives.
"Ensure you have mechanisms in place to deal with workplace stress and potential conflict at an early stage."
Mr Gaskell added that businesses may want to allow staff to participate in major tough decisions as this will restore confidence and make staff feel more invested in the company's success.
The CMI currently has over 70,000 individual members and 400 corporate members who share and benefit from a breadth and depth of knowledge and expertise.
