Employees are more likely to leave a company that has a "toxic environment", according to a motivational website concerned with business health.
According to Business Team Building, a toxic atmosphere develops when a company allows negativity, pessimism and cliques to creep into the workplace - something that can be avoided with strong team building.
It was said that people should address the situation outside of work to keep a level head and put everything in perspective.
"Surround yourself outside your workplace with confident, light-hearted people and ideas," it continued.
The toxin, it added, would prevail in the workplace until it was remedied, so employers should get to the heart of any discontent in the office to improve overall motivation.
According to Motivation Tools, workers should set a major goal and always finish what they start, as quitting can develop into a habit.
Furthermore, motivation can pair with natural talent to produce persistence, which will ensure that employees will get things done more efficiently.
