ITC Classics pays incentives and recognition tax
Date: 28/06/2010
Luxury holiday firm ITC Classics has announced that it will cover all the tax on its employee incentives and recognition programme.
The firm introduced voucher sales incentives last month and has handed out the rewards twice - once on May 14th and again on June 18th.
Lee Marshall, the company's new business development director, told TTG Live that the firm will cover all tax liabilities on the new rewards to ensure none of its sales operatives are left with a hefty tax bill of their own.
"We use vouchers because we operate in a crowded market and agents need some form of incentive," he said.
"There's a hunger out there within independent agencies to work with like-minded operators. Paying the tax on vouchers is the first step on that road," he added.
Earlier this month, the government's environment secretary Caroline Spelman claimed that shoppers could soon be rewarded with incentives and recognition vouchers as a means of encouraging recycling.
