Good team building 'grows an organisation'

Date: 24/05/2010

Team building corporate events are not just a way to keep employees motivated and productive - they are the key to growing your business, according to the experts.

In an interview with Nigerian newspaper Punch, Yinka Olugbodi of Team Building International said organisations are losing out if they do not explore the enormous power of a team that works well together.

Meanwhile, managing director of Georgetown Consulting Chi Chi Okonjo told the newspaper: "Every organisation rises or falls by the quality of teams it has running the organisation.

"It then follows that team development is perhaps the most significant task of any leader of an organisation."

He went on to say that creating a sense of belonging among employees is crucial, perhaps through corporate team building events or reward and recognition incentives.

The advice follows a recent article in the Malaysia Star, which suggested giving everyone in an organisation the chance to use their own special talents in a task.
