Golf and tennis team up at major London venue

A recent amalgamation at London's ExCeL has underlined how the conference venue continues to be very popular, this time hosting a team building corporate event of a very different kind.

Next year, between April 30th and May 2nd, the huge location will play host to not one but two sports expositions at the same time, with organisers believing that the joint effort will underline the shared purpose of their activities.

The London Golf and Tennis Shows will be supported by the England Golf Partnership, the Professional Golfers Association, the Tennis Industry Association and the Lawn Tennis Association.

Commenting on the venture, Golf Show Group chairman Ken Schofield said: "There are many crossovers between the two sports. Commercially, many of the large brands in golf are also present in tennis, and many amateurs play both sports to relax."

Recently, Conference & Incentive Travel revealed that Excel has logged £1 million of event bookings over the last two weeks, expecting to announce even more by the end of next month.
