Glazers aim to boost morale at Old Trafford
Date: 12/02/2010
In an attempt to boost flagging morale at Manchester United, the Glazer family, who own the club, will treat their entire workforce to a day out at the Carling Cup final, in which their team will star.
Around 800 tickets were set aside for "disaffected" staff after an amazing semi-final win over bitter rivals Manchester City last month, according to the News of the World.
As a result, every single one of the 594 full-time employees with the Reds have been told, in a display of incentives and recognition, that they are all being treated to the team building corporate event at Wembley when the team eventually play Aston Villa on Sunday February 28th.
Despite this, reports are showing that the recent round of redundancies at Old Trafford continues to worry staff that they will be in for more lay-offs, meaning communication between staff and managers may need improving to settle fears.
Manchester United currently sit in second place in the Premiership, one point off leaders Chelsea.
