Flexible working can be used with incentives and recognition to deliver a great range of benefits to the workplace, according to a business support organisation in Scotland.
The GO Group expanded on its advice by providing a list of flexible working pros and cons, explaining that first and foremost it boosts morale, job satisfaction and motivation while also being more cost-effective for employers.
Furthermore, savings on office space can be made, business hours can be extended and a job opportunity can be made more attractive to prospective employees.
Despite this, planning work and organising staff could be more difficult to achieve among companies that may also be using other incentives and recognition.
Telecommunications costs rises and maintaining skills and development from remotely may also be tough.
Despite the drawbacks, the government insists that businesses should see the positives in flexible working and improve the work-life balance of all employees.
