If a business is to succeed in pulling off team building conferences as well as incentives and recognition schemes, they must provide a primed environment for workers, it is said.
In a piece for Best Syndication, it was asserted that the Loyalty Institute at Aon Consulting's five main drivers of employee motivation are the best way to create a strong office for employees and their bosses alike.
Firstly, companies must create a "free psychological environment", while incentives and recognition is the second core principle in encouraging growth within the organisation.
Employees must also be proud to call the workplace theirs, while plenty of activities between staff, such as those through team building corporate events, must also be offered as a fourth point.
Finally, businesses promoting work-life balances will also be most successful in having people in the office who are bright and happy.
It was concluded: "Most company people make the mistake of applying [the] same strategies everywhere. However, it is important to note that requirements and needs of every employee differ."
Earlier this month, David Lee from MaineBusiness said that internal competition can sometimes be a good thing in the office, so long as malpractice is not encouraged and friendliness is upheld.
