FedEx is pleased to announce that through improved communication and team building conferences, it has been able to diagnose previous problems with employee engagement.
The company joined forces with software provider RealTime Performance to diagnose the major issues which faced the corporation, with the tool discovering that employee perceptions about the managing director's leadership led to a work environment seen as "ineffective".
Since then, the organisation has embraced its staff through a number of measures including team building conferences as well as incentives and recognition, underlining the need to improve communication with staff.
Sean Murray, RealTime Performance chief executive officer, said: "When a company like FedEx is launching a major national service, it's critical to have the support of all departments running like one well-oiled machine."
Diane Stafford of KansasCity.com recently recommended that businesses do their best to ensure that communication is primed in their organisation before bringing incentives and recognition into the workplace, providing solid foundations for success.
