ExCeL London to host G20 summit

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has announced that it is to host the World Leaders Summit in April at ExCeL London, the international exhibition and conference centre.

Alongside the G20 nations, a number of developing countries are to join the event at one of London's leading establishments for major events organisers, with participants aiming to restore global stability and economic growth in the current climate.

David Pegler, the managing director of conferences, exhibitions and events at ExCeL London, said the announcement is fantastic news and that the selection of his facilities is testament to their international standing as a major destination for political and corporate events.

He continued: "This will further cement London's reputation as a world-class city for hosting successful events and conferences and help in attracting even more high-calibre international business to the capital."

Towards the end of last month, ExCeL London finished second in the top six conference locations in the UK, following Birmingham's NEC.
