Ex-employees offer insight into Apple's leadership and motivation strategies
Date: 08/07/2010
Former Apple employees have given outsiders an insight into the inner workings of the top technology company - including its leadership and motivation strategies.
According to a survey conducted by Silicon Alley Insider, former employees said that projects are often pushed along by the company's co-founder Steve Jobs.
High profile respondents to the Apple employee motivation survey included Facebook's Chad Little and Mint.com's Justin Maxwell.
Maxwell said: "The general idea is this: You are part of something much bigger than you."
Meanwhile, another respondent to the survey claimed that corporate event management at Apple was something that employees rated highly.
They said that launch events were "probably the single greatest feeling working at Apple".
"It's a great rush and your whole team feels it," they added. Last month Apple launched its eagerly awaited iPhone 4 in the UK, US, France, Germany and Japan.
The phone was described as an "incremental" improvement over its predecessor by Peter Fader, a marketing professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
