Event hosting to go ahead at Battersea Power Station

One of London's most recognisable landmarks, Battersea Power Station, has been deemed safe to host corporate events following a major investment in structural work in the last few months.

The huge complex is now set to have a temporary structure with a translucent dome, which has been designed especially to host corporate hospitality events such as award shows, live brand experiences and product launches.

The facilities could be made available as early as September through to next May.

Interested businesses will be able to tour the building in the next week.

Elias Devries, 1st Option's director of events, told Event Magazine of the project: "Should our planning be approved, I suspect this to be one of the most exciting new venues this year.

"Structural work has been done so that the venue is absolutely safe. The translucent ceiling will be a real highlight."

According to the Battersea Power Station Community Group, the building is the largest all-brick erection in all of Europe.
