Employees 'motivated through charity efforts'

Date: 17/06/2009

A drinks logistics company has used a team building ethic to raise £30,000 for charities across the UK, it has been reported.

Employee Benefits revealed that employees from Tradeteam's 28 distribution centres engaged in a number activities including running, climbing, decorating and dressing up to raise £15,000, which was then matched by the company.

Toni Clayton, the regional human resources officer and head of corporate social responsibility with Tradeteam, explained that many were able to get a team building dynamic through raising funds for causes close to their heart.

She added that Tradeteam are thrilled with the efforts of employees over the last 12 months.

Ms Clayton continued: "It's testament to their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm for some very worthy charities. They have really made a difference to many people's lives and this is something we are very proud of."

Tradeteam is currently running a cultural change programme, which "aims to both engage and empower employees in the workplace".ADNFCR-2060-ID-19214587-ADNFCR
